Dynamic, uplifting Christian music, live dramas and practical video moments, are all part of what makes Christ's Family Church a special place to become connected!

Our leadership team presents basic Biblical truths in a way that's relevant to everyday life. Our gatherings reflect our belief that being part of a church should be an enjoyable, uplifting and meaningful experience that encourages you to develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our Sunday Service starts at 9:00 and 10:30a.m. Come early and enjoy a cup of first rate cappuccino from our coffee kiosk while you meet some really nice people.

If you missed last week's service, you can listen online by clicking on the Weekly Podcasts tab, or you could find the notes for the message under the Weekly Messages tab. Both are found on the left side of this page.

Church and civic cooperation, is that possible? It is in Hastings... Hastings is once again leading the charge when it comes to our kids.  With the growing problem of drug and alcohol abuse pressing in on our young people, our local DARE program has become a valued agency to develop a positive relationship between students and law enforcement along with a positive, character development program for them to enjoy. The DARE program has been around for over 25 years and many see an even greater need to impact our kids in a positive and influential way while realizing it requires that we all be involved in the problems and challenges our young people face today. A team effort to support the DARE program in Hastings is being lived out through Hastings Ford, Hastings Chrysler and Bless Hastings who have joined together to fund an awesome new DARE vehicle.

This new opportunity to partner with DARE all started when officer Tim Connell approached Doug Erickson of Hastings Ford to inquire of a willingness to provide a new ride for the DARE officer to do the program from.  Doug showed considerable interest and because he was involved in a new effort to encourage other business and marketplace people to include their faith as part of their business practices instead of keeping it limited to their personal lives, he suggested that maybe this would be another place for local churches to be a blessing to our young people and our city.   Doug had seen first hand the value of congregations, who were part of the local citizenry, supporting civic agencies.

At meetings with Doug Erickson, Chief of Police Mike McMenomy, officers Connell, Hicks, Kegley and the Bless Hastings pastors, the value of community collaboration was highly regarded.   It was another case were influential city leaders once again are looking for ways to partner to help our youth.  DARE was presented as a great program for building a positive relationships between students and law enforcement which has shown some real life results in making it possible for students to trust these authority figures in the future.  Few other programs afford this connection.

Officer Wayne Hicks and Officer Tim Connell are the two Dare officers that will use the car to attract kids to the message of resisting the negative pressures of drugs and alcohol.  Keep your eyes open for the new DARE ride which will be cruising to impact the youth of Hastings.

"At the very heart of our belief system as Christ-followers is a deep conviction that every human life is infinitely valuable.  We know drug abuse destroys individual lives, undermines families and harms whole communities.  Therefore, we are delighted to become an active partner with the dedicated officers of the D.A.R.E. program as they seek to tell our young citizens the truth about the dangers of drug use."Jim Anderson, Sr.Pastor of The Harbor Church
